  4. You can consider your word processing system (program plus 
  5. computer) as a typewriter equipped with built-in scissors, paste 
  6. and correction fluid and designed to function as a copier as 
  7. well. This means that you'll never have to rewrite a page 
  8. because it contained an error. Instead, you simply correct the 
  9. error. And if you want to send the same letter to a number of 
  10. people, the word processing program will copy the letter for 
  11. you. All you have to do is change the name and address. Sounds 
  12. great, doesn't it? You'll be surprised to find how much time and 
  13. work your word processing program will save.

  15. Generally speaking, a word processing program functions in the 
  16. same way as a highly sophisticated typewriter. You don't have to 
  17. interrupt your work in any way when a line fills up or a page 
  18. becomes full. Your word processing program advances 
  19. automatically to a new line or a new page. And by using the many 
  20. special effects available on your printer - such as italics, 
  21. boldface, underlining and special characters - you can create 
  22. professional, attractively styled letters.

  25. hand margin, center text, etc. And you can look over your work 
  26. before you print a single page, since your letter is shown on 
  27. the screen. What's more, you can rearrange it as desired before 
  28. printing. This means that in the future, you'll never have to 
  29. check-read texts that have been written by others, corrected by 
  30. others and (perhaps) delayed by others. Thanks to your word 
  31. processing program, you'll now be able to control the entire 
  32. process yourself.
